The University of Ottawa is one of several physical and virtual labs throughout academic institutions in Canada. The primary purpose is to have dedicated spaces for community-led research on child and youth trauma to occur, alongside academic partners. This research infrastructure will bring together pan-Canadian research, practice, and policy expertise to advance community-based applied research. This knowledge will have important impacts for children and youth, for families, and for professionals in child-serving sectors. I obtained my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Manitoba in 1999, following which I spent several years at l’Université de Montréal as a Research Post-Doctoral Fellow and Associate Researcher. I have been a registered clinical psychologist in the province of Ontario since 2006. As the Lead Technologist at the University of Ottawa’s ThRIve Lab, I support the development of digital and research technologies that enhance collaboration, innovation, and trauma-informed research initiatives across Canada. I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, and my background in scientific research and data analysis allows me to bridge technology and interdisciplinary research in support of child and youth mental health and well-being.  --- # Research ![Research](https://collabzium.com/hs-fs/hubfs/ThRIVE%20Lab/Research.png?width=2000&height=670&name=Research.png "Research") --- # Projects ##### Advancing Trauma- and Violence-Informed Practices in Education: Preliminary Evaluation of the Understanding the Neurosequential Model in Education (NME) Series This project was supported by funding from McGill University, through the SSHRC Partnership Grant held by the Canadian Consortium on Child and Youth Trauma (CCCYT; SSHRC Partnership Grant #895-2020-1016).
