Fatou Sarr
Fatou Sarr (she/her) is a Senegalese-American PhD candidate and an aspiring policy analyst. Fatou holds two Honours degrees in both Biochemistry and Psychology from the University of Ottawa, and is currently finishing her PhD at the University of Ottawa within the M.A/PhD Experimental Psychology program. Her research focuses on understanding the relationship between unconscious processes and our memory systems. She is motivated by the many layers that exist between what we do in our everyday lives and the influences that go unnoticed. Outside of her PhD research, Fatou is a passionate advocate for equity, inclusion, and diversity through research and policy development. In her free time, Fatou loves creating abstract art based on nature themes using a variety of mediums (acrylic, water colour, plaster etc.).
